Campers will be introduced to video game design software, and the components required for good game design. This camp will focus on understanding basic 2D game design software, as well as introducing students to simplified ideas of storyboarding and the goal of creating a victory condition to build a successful game. Students will have hands-on experience using the free version of Clickteam Fusion 2.5. If you have a decent computer at home, you may want to install the free version of the software so you can continue building games after the camp has concluded. Without the application, it is possible that the games won’t be available after our week together. No accounts need to be created to use this software. If there are any other needs, students will know prior to the camp.
